Playtests Returning in 2026

Hey everyone,

Quick update: we're pausing playtests for the rest of the year. They'll be back in 2026.

If you read our last dev update, you know we're in the middle of rebuilding our systems to support the game we want Golden Tides to become. That work is going well, but it means the game is in a state of transition right now and we'd rather wait until we can show you something that actually reflects where we're headed.

We know it's been a minute since some of you have gotten to play, and we appreciate your patience. When playtests return, they'll be on a build that feels meaningfully better than what you've experienced before. That's the goal.

In the meantime, we'll keep sharing updates on what we're working on. And if you want to stay in the loop for when playtests come back, make sure you're in the Discord.
